Tell us the date, the first pickup address and the hours you expect to need, from 4 to 12. A morning of appointments in Southampton and East Hampton usually runs four to five hours; a full day with guests, eight or more.

2. Approve the Written Price
You receive one written price for the hours reserved, with the start time and the vehicle. Approve it, or forward it to the person traveling or paying. The chauffeur's name and number follow about 6 to 8 hours before pickup.
3. Change the Plan as You Go
On the day, the chauffeur arrives before the start time and stays with you until the last stop. Add a stop in Amagansett, extend by an hour or finish early; the chauffeur adjusts, and the final time is confirmed in writing afterward.

The schedule belongs to you. If lunch runs long, the chauffeur waits. If an appointment is added in East Hampton, you say so and the car goes there next. Between stops the chauffeur handles the doors and anything in the cargo area, keeps the cabin cool in July and stays within reach of a text. Hourly as-directed service has a 4-hour minimum, and 4 to 12 hours can be requested on the form; longer days are arranged by request. The written price covers the time you reserve.
Most hourly days are booked by an assistant or an estate manager on behalf of someone arriving for the weekend or a longer stay. Send the date, the first pickup address and a rough sense of the day, and you receive a written price to approve or forward. Spanish is spoken.

Is there a minimum number of hours for hourly as-directed car service?
Yes. Hourly as-directed service has a 4-hour minimum, and up to 12 hours can be requested on the form. Longer days are available by arrangement. The hours are stated on your written price before you approve it, so nothing changes on the day. For a single trip from one address to another, a point-to-point transfer is usually the better reservation; tell us the plan and we will recommend which one fits.
Does the chauffeur wait while I am at lunch or at an appointment?
Yes. That is the purpose of booking by the hour. The chauffeur stays with the car near the address, keeps the cabin at temperature and is outside when you text. Waiting time is part of the hours you reserve, so there is nothing extra to arrange and no second car to call.
Can I change the stops once the day has started?
You can. Tell the chauffeur in person, or send a text to the chauffeur's number, which you receive about 6 to 8 hours before pickup. Stops can be added, reordered or dropped anywhere between Westhampton Beach and Montauk, and the car can continue to Manhattan or an airport if the day ends there. If the change extends the day, the extra time is confirmed in writing afterward.
How many people and bags fit in the SUV?
A luxury SUV seats up to six passengers behind the chauffeur, with room for bags behind the third row; with that row folded, four passengers travel with a full weekend's luggage. For larger groups we arrange a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, a luxury shuttle bus or a coach. Say so when you request the quote and we will confirm in writing what is available for the date.
Can an hourly day start at the house and end in Manhattan?
Yes. Hourly as-directed service is not limited to the East End. A day can begin at a house in Southampton, cover errands and a lunch, and end at an apartment in Manhattan or at JFK. The drive from Southampton to Midtown is about two to two and a half hours outside of traffic, and that time counts toward the hours reserved. Tell us where the day ends and the written price will reflect it.
