Sag Harbor Car Service to the Airports and the City
Sag Harbor is the old whaling port on the bay side of the South Fork, split between the towns of Southampton and East Hampton. Main Street runs from the Whaling Museum down to Long Wharf and Bay Street Theater; the marina fills with yachts from June; the side streets hold captains' houses in a grid the villages on the ocean never had. North Haven lies across the bridge, and at its tip the South Ferry crosses to Shelter Island on Route 114.
Two Ways to Route 27
The Bridgehampton–Sag Harbor Turnpike runs south to Bridgehampton; Route 114 runs south-east to East Hampton. We choose by destination and time of day: the Turnpike for anything west, 114 for East Hampton and HTO.
Pickup Spots
Long Wharf and the foot of Main Street, Bay Street Theater, the Whaling Museum, the marinas, the North Haven side of the bridge, and the South Ferry landing for anyone arriving from Shelter Island. Main Street is narrow and busy on summer evenings, so we agree a side-street spot for dinner pickups.
No Station, No Problem
The nearest LIRR stations are Bridgehampton, about 15 minutes, and East Hampton, about 20. We meet the train and bring you into the village, or take you to the train in the morning, and track the schedule so timing is not your concern.
Shelter Island Connections
The South Ferry from North Haven carries cars and runs several times an hour. We drive on and continue to Shelter Island addresses, or meet passengers coming off the boat. For the North Fork, the two ferries across Shelter Island are usually quicker than driving around.

No. The nearest LIRR stations are Bridgehampton, about 15 minutes by car, and East Hampton, about 20. We meet trains at either and drive you into the village, and we take you back for the morning train. Tell us the train number and we track it.
Can you take us to Shelter Island from Sag Harbor?
Yes. The South Ferry leaves from the tip of North Haven, about 10 minutes from Main Street, and carries vehicles on Route 114. We drive onto the ferry and continue to the address, or drop you at the landing if you prefer to walk on. Ferry fare is passed through on the written quote.
Which airport is closest to Sag Harbor for a private jet?
East Hampton Airport (HTO) in Wainscott, about 15 to 20 minutes down Route 114. Gabreski (FOK) in Westhampton is 45 to 55 minutes. For commercial flights, ISP in Islip is about an hour and a half, and JFK and LGA are two and a half to three hours outside of traffic.
Do you do dinner pickups on Main Street in summer?
Yes, every night. Main Street is one lane each way and full on July and August evenings, so we usually meet a few steps away on a side street or at Long Wharf and tell you exactly where the car is. Book by the hour and the chauffeur stays for the evening.
How long is Sag Harbor to Manhattan by car?
About two and three quarters to three and a quarter hours outside of traffic, via the Turnpike to Route 27, County Road 39, Sunrise Highway and the Long Island Expressway into the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. Early morning and late evening run closest to the low end; summer Friday and Sunday afternoons can add an hour or more.
