Traveling with children means more luggage, more timing and more to carry through a terminal. Family car service puts all of it in one new, meticulously maintained luxury SUV with a chauffeur who handles the loading, so parents walk from the door to the car holding nothing but a child's hand. We provide and install child safety seats on request; tell us the children's ages, and parents confirm each seat is properly installed before departure.

2. Approve the Written Price
You receive one written price with the child seats listed, the pickup time and the vehicle. Approve it, or forward it to a spouse, a nanny or an assistant. The chauffeur's name and number follow about 6 to 8 hours before pickup.
3. Walk Out With the Children
On the day the chauffeur arrives early, installs the child seats you requested and loads the luggage; you confirm each seat is properly installed before departure. At the airport, the chauffeur meets you inside and takes the bags from the carousel to the car.

Family Car Service in the Hamptons, in Detail
The most common runs are the airport transfer, JFK or Islip to the house in Quogue or East Hampton at the start of a holiday and back at the end; the drive out from Manhattan to the house, with a full cargo area; and the day with a nanny and the children while the parents are elsewhere. Beyond New York, we coordinate ground transportation nationwide and worldwide: when a family flies from New York to Miami, Los Angeles or elsewhere, we can arrange the car at the destination in advance, with one point of contact. Each trip is booked the same way: dates, addresses, headcount and ages, and a written price to approve or forward.
The chauffeur is patient with a late start and a last trip back inside for a forgotten bear. The cabin has water and chargers, and the climate is set before anyone gets in. Chauffeurs are background-checked and drug-tested, East End Lux is licensed and insured, and Spanish is spoken, which some grandparents and some nannies will appreciate.

Do you provide car seats, and how do I request them?
Yes. We provide and install child safety seats on request; parents confirm the seat is properly installed before departure. When you request the quote, give each child's age and approximate weight, and the seats are listed on your written confirmation so you can check them. If you prefer your own seat, the chauffeur will help install it and store it for the return leg, and you confirm that installation the same way.
How much luggage fits with a family in the SUV?
A luxury SUV carries a family of four or five with their large bags, a stroller and a child seat or two with the third row folded. For a family of six with the luggage of a long stay, say so when you request the quote and we will confirm in writing whether one vehicle or two is the right plan for your dates. For larger groups we arrange a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, a luxury shuttle bus or a coach.
What happens if we are running late getting out of the house?
The chauffeur waits. Families start late, and a pickup time for a flight is set with a margin for exactly that. If the delay grows beyond the margin, the chauffeur tells you plainly how it affects the arrival at the airport so you can decide. For trips without a flight there is no rush; the chauffeur waits, and any extended time is confirmed in writing afterward.
Can the chauffeur meet us inside the airport with the children?
Yes. For arrivals at JFK, LaGuardia, Newark or Islip, the chauffeur waits at the exit from baggage claim with a sign, helps collect the bags from the carousel and walks the family to the car, where the child seats you requested are installed and ready for you to check. For departures, the chauffeur unloads at the terminal door and can help as far as the check-in counter.
Can you arrange a car when we land in another city?
Yes. Beyond New York, we coordinate ground transportation nationwide and worldwide. When a family flies from New York to Miami, Los Angeles or elsewhere, we can arrange the car at the destination in advance, so it is waiting when you land. You keep one point of contact for both ends of the trip, and each leg is confirmed in writing.
Can the children travel with a nanny or a grandparent instead of a parent?
Yes. Children travel with an adult the family names: a nanny, a grandparent, an au pair. Put the names on the reservation and the chauffeur confirms them at pickup. For any arrangement outside that, ask when you request the quote and we will tell you in writing what we can do. Chauffeurs are background-checked and drug-tested.
