Greenport Car Service to the Airports and the City
Greenport is an incorporated village inside the Town of Southold, the only one in the town, and the harbor village of the North Fork. The harborfront, the carousel by the water, and the restaurants and shops on Main Street and Front Street are its center. The Long Island Rail Road's Main Line ends here, and the North Ferry crosses from the village to Shelter Island.
Two Roads in
Main Road (Route 25) and Route 48 both reach Greenport from the west. Route 48 is usually faster toward Riverhead and the Long Island Expressway.

The North Ferry

About two to two and a half hours outside of traffic, west on Route 48 to Riverhead, then the Long Island Expressway and the Van Wyck. LaGuardia is similar. Do you meet trains at the Greenport station?
Yes. Greenport is the last stop on the Main Line, close to the waterfront. Send us the train you are on and the chauffeur meets you as you step off, takes the bags and drives you to the house, the hotel or across on the North Ferry to Shelter Island.
Can you take us across to Shelter Island?
Yes. The chauffeur drives you onto the North Ferry in Greenport and off on the island, then to the house. You stay in the car with your bags for the crossing. Tell us the address and the time, and we allow for the line at the landing on summer weekends.
Can we book a chauffeur by the hour for an evening in Greenport?
