Westhampton Beach Car Service to the Airports and the City
Westhampton Beach is the westernmost of the Hamptons villages, in the Town of Southampton, with Main Street a short walk from the bay and Dune Road running along the barrier beach to Cupsogue at its western end. The Performing Arts Center is on Main Street; the Westhampton LIRR station is just north of the village; Sunrise Highway passes a few minutes above it. Francis S. Gabreski Airport (FOK) sits about three miles north, the largest private-aviation field on the East End.
Sunrise Highway at the Door
Westhampton Beach sits just south of Sunrise Highway (Route 27), so trips west skip the Shinnecock Canal and County Road 39 entirely. That is why the airport and city times are the shortest in the Hamptons.
Pickup Spots
Main Street and the Performing Arts Center, the Westhampton LIRR station, Rogers Beach and the Dune Road clubs, Cupsogue Beach County Park, and the FBO at Gabreski. Dune Road is one lane each way and long; give us the house number and we come to the deck.
Gabreski (FOK)
A 9,000-foot runway, no curfew of the HTO kind, and a single FBO on the field. Aircraft too large for East Hampton land here, and in summer the field is busy on Thursday and Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings. We track the tail number and wait at the FBO.
Trains
Westhampton station is on the Montauk Branch; Speonk, one stop west, has more frequent service and is about 10 minutes from the village. We meet either and advise which train to take.

How close is Westhampton Beach to Gabreski Airport?
About 10 minutes. FOK is roughly three miles north of the village in the Town of Southampton, off Old Riverhead Road. We meet the aircraft at the FBO, track the tail number, and have the car waiting at the door. From Dune Road add five to ten minutes.
How long is Westhampton Beach to JFK?
About an hour and three quarters to two hours outside of traffic, straight onto Sunrise Highway and then the Southern State or Long Island Expressway to the Van Wyck. It is the shortest Hamptons airport run. LGA is similar; EWR is about two and a half hours.
Should we take the train to Westhampton or Speonk?
Both are on the LIRR Montauk Branch. Westhampton is closer to the village; Speonk, one stop west, has more trains and is about 10 minutes away by car. We meet either and will tell you which schedule works for your day. Give us the train number and we track it.
Do you pick up on Dune Road?
Yes, the full length, from the village bridge to Cupsogue and the Quogue end. Dune Road is long and narrow, so we come to the house rather than a corner, and we leave a few extra minutes in July and August when beach traffic is heavy.
How far is Westhampton Beach from Manhattan?
About two to two and a half hours outside of traffic to Midtown through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. Early morning and late evening run at the low end; Friday afternoon eastbound and Sunday afternoon westbound in summer run past the high end. We quote the door-to-door ride in writing.
