Manhattan Car Service to JFK, LaGuardia and the Hamptons
Manhattan is where most of our passengers start the week and the Hamptons is where they end it. East End Lux runs the door-to-door ride between the two in both directions, 24 hours a day: Midtown to Southampton in about two and a quarter to three hours outside of traffic, the Upper East Side to East Hampton in about three, Tribeca to Montauk in about three and a half. One car, one chauffeur, no transfer at a train or a bus stop, luggage in the back, work or sleep on the way.
Getting Out to the Island
From Midtown and the East Side the Queens-Midtown Tunnel feeds straight onto the Long Island Expressway. From the Upper East Side and Harlem the Triborough and the Grand Central Parkway work better. Downtown and the West Side use the Williamsburg or Brooklyn Bridge to the BQE and the LIE.
Airport Routes
JFK via the LIE or Grand Central to the Van Wyck; LaGuardia via the Grand Central Parkway; Newark and Teterboro via the Lincoln Tunnel or the George Washington Bridge; Westchester County Airport up the Hutchinson River Parkway. We choose by live conditions and tell you the plan.
Pickup in the City
Hotel porte-cochères, office lobbies, residential building doors with a doorman, restaurants, Penn Station and Grand Central, the heliports on the East and West sides. The written confirmation carries the pickup time, the vehicle and the meet point. The chauffeur's name and number follow about 6 to 8 hours before pickup, and the chauffeur waits at the door, not around the corner.
Summer Fridays
Eastbound traffic out of Manhattan builds from noon on summer Fridays and holiday eves. For a Friday arrival in the Hamptons before dinner we recommend leaving before 11 a.m. or after 8 p.m.; for the Sunday return, before 2 p.m. or after 8 p.m.

Within the city we provide chauffeured car service to and from the airports and between addresses. JFK is about 16 miles south-east of Midtown in Jamaica, Queens, via the Queens-Midtown Tunnel and the Van Wyck; LaGuardia is closer, in East Elmhurst; Newark (EWR) and Teterboro (TEB) are across the Hudson in New Jersey; Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains is north. Our chauffeurs wear a suit, track the flight, and meet at the terminal or the FBO with a name card.

How long is the drive from Manhattan to the Hamptons?
Outside of traffic, Midtown to Southampton is about two and a quarter to three hours, East Hampton about two and three quarters to three and a quarter, Montauk about three and a quarter to three and three quarters. The route is the Queens-Midtown Tunnel and the Long Island Expressway to Sunrise Highway and County Road 39. Summer Friday afternoons can add an hour or two.
Do you do one-way rides from the Hamptons to Manhattan and back?
Yes, both directions, one way or round trip, 24 hours a day. A Sunday night return from East Hampton to the Upper East Side, or a Monday 5 a.m. departure from Southampton to a Midtown office, are routine. Each ride is priced as a door-to-door transfer and confirmed in writing.
How early should we leave Midtown for a JFK flight?
The drive is about 45 minutes to an hour and a quarter outside of traffic, longer in the weekday rush. For an international departure we recommend leaving three hours before the flight on a weekday afternoon and two and a half at off-peak hours. We track the flight and confirm the pickup time.
Can you meet a private flight at Teterboro or Westchester?
Yes. Teterboro (TEB) is about 25 to 45 minutes from Midtown through the Lincoln Tunnel; Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains is about 45 minutes to an hour up the Hutchinson River Parkway. We track the tail number, wait at the FBO, and have a new, meticulously maintained luxury SUV at the door when the aircraft arrives.
Do you provide car service within Manhattan for the day?
Yes. Hourly as-directed service with a chauffeur who stays with you suits meetings across Midtown, a day of appointments, or an evening out. There is a four-hour minimum and the car waits at each stop. Corporate accounts receive a single written confirmation per ride for their records.
