Flanders Car Service to the Airports and the City
Flanders is a hamlet in the Town of Southampton on Flanders Bay, on the south side of the Peconic River across from Riverhead. It sits beside Riverhead, between the point where the two forks begin and Hampton Bays. Route 24, Flanders Road, runs along the water past the Big Duck, the roadside landmark, and on toward Hampton Bays.

Route 24 runs from the end of the expressway through the Riverside roundabouts, then east along Flanders Road beside the river and the bay, and on to Hampton Bays. Almost every trip from Flanders uses it.

Homes along Flanders Road and the bay, Riverside and Northampton, and the Riverhead LIRR station on Osborne Avenue, a few minutes north across the river.
The Riverside Roundabouts
Three roundabouts on Route 24 in Riverside connect Flanders to Riverhead and the roads south. On summer weekends they slow down in the afternoons; we set pickup times with margin.

Is Flanders on the North Fork?
No. Flanders is in the Town of Southampton, on Flanders Bay south of the Peconic River, across from Riverhead. It sits where the two forks begin, between Riverhead and Hampton Bays. We serve it together with Riverhead and the North Fork, and with Hampton Bays and the Hamptons to the south.
How long is Flanders to JFK?
About an hour and a quarter to an hour and three quarters outside of traffic, up Route 24 to the end of the Long Island Expressway and west to the Van Wyck. LaGuardia is similar. For a 7 a.m. flight we usually collect between 4:30 and 5 a.m., and earlier on a summer weekend.
How far is Flanders from Gabreski Airport?
About 15 to 25 minutes, south toward Westhampton. Gabreski (FOK) handles private flights; the chauffeur waits at the FBO, the private terminal at the airport, and handles the bags. For flights into Long Island MacArthur (ISP) in Islip, allow about 35 to 45 minutes.
Is there a train station near Flanders?
Flanders has no station of its own. Riverhead station, on Osborne Avenue a few minutes north across the river, is the nearest, and Hampton Bays station is the closest on the South Fork side. We meet trains at either and drive guests to the house.
Can we book a chauffeur by the hour from Flanders?
Yes. From Flanders a day can go north to the North Fork vineyards or south to the Hamptons, with the chauffeur waiting at each stop. Hourly as-directed service has a four-hour minimum for sedans and SUVs and six hours for Sprinters, buses and coaches. The price is confirmed in writing first.
